Make people eat more with appetising leaflets!

Monday, March 8th, 2010

The recession has hit many small businesses hard and a quell in customer numbers in the restaurant industry has made the need for well-designed business leaflets more intense. A good flyer or leaflet can turn a flagging business around and with competition stiff and many companies struggling in the tough financial clime; the quality of the design and the low cost of the printing are vital. Too many people in business make the fatal mistake of thinking that printing flyers will increase business costs and yield little return but with a good deal on your printing services that doesn’t see quality thrown to one side you can make a massive return.

It is important to make sure quality is not substituted for a good deal as when someone handles you promotional leaflets they will form a sub-conscious opinion of your business. If the leaflets feel good to the touch, i.e. smooth and clean, they will automatically assume your business is worth checking out, without really being aware of why. All this before they have even read the leaflet itself!

Business leaflets speak volumes about your business and without them you have less chance of alluring tentative customers into your once thriving eatery. Make sure they look and feel professional by considering three crucial points:

1)   Make your printed leaflet retainable by ensuring potential customers will not throw it away and forget you by adding a discount or freebie.

2)   Create an action point by including phone numbers, website address and dates for forthcoming events.

3)   Add some urgency. Set a deadline to get fast results by providing offers that go out of date or are only available on a particular day of the week.

Hunt around for a good deal and don’t think quality has to be forgone for a good price and you will soon have people queuing outside the door for a seat at your restaurant. If you are looking for printed leaflets to promote your restaurant fill out a quote request to the right to get a great deal.

Branding your business card

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Being consistent with professional business cards in their design and appearance is hugely important; including your branding throughout is just as essential and too often overlooked. Many people understand the advertising skills of the business card but knowing how important it is and actually creating a decent design are two totally different things. Customising everything that you use for advertising is the basic rule of thumb and if you follow this as a guideline for all of your marketing then you are likely to succeed; unless of course you are branding a chocolate teapot as the next best thing.

Your brand should always appear on everything. Letter headed paper, professional business cards, flyers, leaflets, the signature in an email; they should all include your company logo and ideally in the same place. i.e. top right hand corner. Being consistent in business with something as small, easy and as seemingly obvious as branding and customising speaks volumes about your professionalism and it almost works as a subconscious advertising tool as your customers will not necessarily notice the consistency of your branding but they will notice if it is not consistent.

A personalised appearance of quality business cards is effective but it is important to avoid overcrowding on a business card. Simple and clean designs give a professional air and make sure that your cards are readable and concise as well as including the basic information. i.e. name, contact details, business type. It is easy to use your own graphics and a preview of your design, if completed online through a professional company, can be viewed before it goes to print. You can also tweak them and play with the design until you are happy with it and as long as you include your company logo and name throughout all of your marketing techniques; you should be able to create an unbeatable advertising campaign.

Need new business cards?

Friday, February 5th, 2010

If you are looking for new luxury business cards then ensuring your design will be effective is crucial to getting it right. The most important element of your visual business identity is a business card as it is the primary thing that people see about your business when they first meet you. Having something unique about your design will ensure that people remember you and your business offerings and using a twist on a traditional design can be hugely effective. When you arrive to a social event or a conference all of the veteran business people attending will understand the importance of networking as a means of advertising and great business cards are good but different business cards are even better.

Having a design that stands out is the key to owning the best business cards so be witty if your business allows you to be. If your business has a serious theme to it then try a dry sense of humour with your slogan or create a design that is made from a different material than card. You can make your business cards stand out with funky lettering, colourful backgrounds, a funny slogan and using both sides of the cards is also the best way to get all the information on that might be needed.

A map on the reverse side is common so if you want to include a map why not have it fold out from the side? The best business cards are innovative so link the theme of your business with an unusual idea. It is simple to make the most uninteresting products or services seem more inviting with luxury business cards. If you run a small garden centre create a business card in the shape of a seed packet and pace some free seed samples inside.

Luxury business cards come in all sorts of shapes and sizes so branch out from the traditional business cards for the most success!

Leaflet printing: If you offer it; give it!

Friday, January 8th, 2010

There is a wide variety of designs and styles of promotional leaflets out there with many promising you the world, but how many actually deliver what they offer and how important is it to actually back your promises up? There is only one answer to this; VERY! There is nothing worse than seeing a leaflet all jazzed up to the nines advertising something that really gets your juices flowing to make your way there only to be turned away by the 18-year-old staff member who look like they wouldn’t care anymore if you turned up with bells on claiming they don’t know how to put your voucher through the till so you can’t use it!

Business leaflets must only advertise what you are willing to actually provide or you risk alienating potential customers before they have a chance to be a customer! This happened recently with a famous sandwich chain when they advertised the chance for readers of a newspaper to get a £2 breakfast sub for only 40p. Sounds great, right? Wrong, because the offer proved to be so popular one branch got so fed up with locals queuing out of the door with their coupons that they started to turn people away.

Not a great experience if you are on a lunch break and have spent 30 minutes standing in a busy queue with your newspaper coupon. In fact, I will never use this particular branch again out of principle and maybe a touch of pride. Promotional leaflets should only promote a service or product that you are able to deliver so if you can’t give away 40p subs for breakfast do not claim that you can! Business leaflets are an ideal way to advertise, just make sure that what you are advertising is genuine as getting people through the door is pointless if when they walk out they want to slam it in your face!

If you are looking for promotional leaflets for your business contact Print Republic today we can help you from design concept through to printing of your leaflets.

Design business cards

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Well designed business cards are the only way to ensure quality business cards! Good quality is not all about an impressive finish or fancy text; it is also about how successful they are in regards to how many avoid getting thrown straight into the bin! Good designs mean taking the time to do some research into what works and what doesn’t in the world of business cards.

Firstly it is essential that you think about some of the basics before moving onto the more in-depth parts. Professional business cards must include the following points:

  1. The perfect size – Choosing a size that suits most wallets and purses makes your cards appealing to the majority. Something that all business owners will understand the importance of.
  2. The right background colour – Make sure the colour you choose is neither too dull nor too flashy unless of course it is relevant to your business type. i.e. There is no need for a funeral director to have a bright orange card but a private nanny can use rainbow colours. It is all about thinking about your target audience and designing business card that portrays the correct image.
  3. What information to include – Make sure the essentials are all on there. i.e. Business name, description, your name, business address, website, telephone number and email address.
  4. Simplicity reaps success – Quality business cards are simple and easy to understand and read so it is obvious what your business is from reading just a few words. Busy people want to find contact details ASAP so keep them clear and concise.

If you wish to include further details about your business then you should think about designing some flyers or leaflets to further promote your business. Print Republic is happy to provide you with all the help you may need for any of your marketing needs so please feel free to get in contact with us to find out more about professional business cards and our other printing services.

What makes great business leaflets?

Friday, November 20th, 2009

If you own a business then you will be fully aware of the importance of producing business leaflets as part of an advertising and marketing campaign for your company. Leaflets must be attractive and they have to make potential customers interested in your event, product or service that you are offering. They must therefore contain the relevant information and have an appealing look that will attract your target audience to make them pick it up and read it. But how do you know what makes an attractive leaflet and what makes your target audience pick it up in the first place?

UK leaflet printing services can often help you to create the perfect design but if you want to do your own then there are a few basic pointers to bear in mind. Many experts in design and graphics industries warn businesses to make sure that their leaflets are clear and simple, in order to allow everyone to read through them quickly and with ease. Think about all the ‘e’ words:

  • Excite
  • Entice
  • Educate
  • Enthuse
  • Entertain

Use all of these in your leaflets without making them too fussy. Only include information that is needed and there is no harm at having a good look at the competition and see what you are competing with. This allows you to get a clear idea on what looks good and what doesn’t work on a business leaflet.

You can also ask your current clientele what they think would work best by adding a comment section on your website and see what ideas they can come up with. Lastly, a pointer that many overlook is to make sure that the size of your leaflet is as universal as possible to make that it will fit in all of the stands that you want to place them in.

UK leaflet printing is offered by Print Republic and we are happy to provide you with any information about all of our printing services and products.

Benefit from luxury business cards

Friday, November 13th, 2009

Luxury business cards are suitable for many different types of businesses and need not just be used by top-end companies looking to flaunt business rather than gain it. The point of business cards is to promote business so whether you are a dog groomer or an entrepreneur; top-of-the-range cards can work wonders for drumming up new business. Don’t assume because your business is not super trendy or fashionable that your cards can be plain and boring as if you work in a mundane sector such as running a dry cleaners, you can stand out from the rest of the competition with stylish cards.

The difference between luxury business cards and plain cards is a mixture of things from the finish and the cut to the overall style and tone that is made up from the text and colour used. Black and white cards always add an air of sophistication and style and a glossy finish makes them feel nice to the touch. Professional business cards give your business a big boost even if you are a relatively small business. Who says high rollers get to grab all of the attention?

Business cards can say a lot about a business and you can add to the attraction of a less attractive industry, such as taxidermy or home salespeople, by making your cards look luxurious and special. Professional business cards are created from a whole range of designs with minimal text and neutral colours often used to add sophistication to a card. If you run a small business a luxury business card can give the image you are much bigger than you are.
