There is a wide variety of designs and styles of promotional leaflets out there with many promising you the world, but how many actually deliver what they offer and how important is it to actually back your promises up? There is only one answer to this; VERY! There is nothing worse than seeing a leaflet all jazzed up to the nines advertising something that really gets your juices flowing to make your way there only to be turned away by the 18-year-old staff member who look like they wouldn’t care anymore if you turned up with bells on claiming they don’t know how to put your voucher through the till so you can’t use it!
Business leaflets must only advertise what you are willing to actually provide or you risk alienating potential customers before they have a chance to be a customer! This happened recently with a famous sandwich chain when they advertised the chance for readers of a newspaper to get a £2 breakfast sub for only 40p. Sounds great, right? Wrong, because the offer proved to be so popular one branch got so fed up with locals queuing out of the door with their coupons that they started to turn people away.
Not a great experience if you are on a lunch break and have spent 30 minutes standing in a busy queue with your newspaper coupon. In fact, I will never use this particular branch again out of principle and maybe a touch of pride. Promotional leaflets should only promote a service or product that you are able to deliver so if you can’t give away 40p subs for breakfast do not claim that you can! Business leaflets are an ideal way to advertise, just make sure that what you are advertising is genuine as getting people through the door is pointless if when they walk out they want to slam it in your face!
If you are looking for promotional leaflets for your business contact Print Republic today we can help you from design concept through to printing of your leaflets.

Well designed business cards are the only way to ensure quality business cards! Good quality is not all about an impressive finish or fancy text; it is also about how successful they are in regards to how many avoid getting thrown straight into the bin! Good designs mean taking the time to do some research into what works and what doesn’t in the world of business cards.
Firstly it is essential that you think about some of the basics before moving onto the more in-depth parts. Professional business cards must include the following points:
- The perfect size – Choosing a size that suits most wallets and purses makes your cards appealing to the majority. Something that all business owners will understand the importance of.
- The right background colour – Make sure the colour you choose is neither too dull nor too flashy unless of course it is relevant to your business type. i.e. There is no need for a funeral director to have a bright orange card but a private nanny can use rainbow colours. It is all about thinking about your target audience and designing business card that portrays the correct image.
- What information to include – Make sure the essentials are all on there. i.e. Business name, description, your name, business address, website, telephone number and email address.
- Simplicity reaps success – Quality business cards are simple and easy to understand and read so it is obvious what your business is from reading just a few words. Busy people want to find contact details ASAP so keep them clear and concise.
If you wish to include further details about your business then you should think about designing some flyers or leaflets to further promote your business. Print Republic is happy to provide you with all the help you may need for any of your marketing needs so please feel free to get in contact with us to find out more about professional business cards and our other printing services.

If you own a business then you will be fully aware of the importance of producing business leaflets as part of an advertising and marketing campaign for your company. Leaflets must be attractive and they have to make potential customers interested in your event, product or service that you are offering. They must therefore contain the relevant information and have an appealing look that will attract your target audience to make them pick it up and read it. But how do you know what makes an attractive leaflet and what makes your target audience pick it up in the first place?
UK leaflet printing services can often help you to create the perfect design but if you want to do your own then there are a few basic pointers to bear in mind. Many experts in design and graphics industries warn businesses to make sure that their leaflets are clear and simple, in order to allow everyone to read through them quickly and with ease. Think about all the ‘e’ words:
- Excite
- Entice
- Educate
- Enthuse
- Entertain
Use all of these in your leaflets without making them too fussy. Only include information that is needed and there is no harm at having a good look at the competition and see what you are competing with. This allows you to get a clear idea on what looks good and what doesn’t work on a business leaflet.
You can also ask your current clientele what they think would work best by adding a comment section on your website and see what ideas they can come up with. Lastly, a pointer that many overlook is to make sure that the size of your leaflet is as universal as possible to make that it will fit in all of the stands that you want to place them in.
UK leaflet printing is offered by Print Republic and we are happy to provide you with any information about all of our printing services and products.

Luxury business cards are suitable for many different types of businesses and need not just be used by top-end companies looking to flaunt business rather than gain it. The point of business cards is to promote business so whether you are a dog groomer or an entrepreneur; top-of-the-range cards can work wonders for drumming up new business. Don’t assume because your business is not super trendy or fashionable that your cards can be plain and boring as if you work in a mundane sector such as running a dry cleaners, you can stand out from the rest of the competition with stylish cards.
The difference between luxury business cards and plain cards is a mixture of things from the finish and the cut to the overall style and tone that is made up from the text and colour used. Black and white cards always add an air of sophistication and style and a glossy finish makes them feel nice to the touch. Professional business cards give your business a big boost even if you are a relatively small business. Who says high rollers get to grab all of the attention?
Business cards can say a lot about a business and you can add to the attraction of a less attractive industry, such as taxidermy or home salespeople, by making your cards look luxurious and special. Professional business cards are created from a whole range of designs with minimal text and neutral colours often used to add sophistication to a card. If you run a small business a luxury business card can give the image you are much bigger than you are.

Designing high quality business cards is a niche skill as it is vital to get your design right in order to gain your own personal place in someone’s wallet. Few people are aware that 90% of business cards end up straight in the bin without even so much of a second glance and the only ones left to grace the pockets of a purse are high quality business cards.
Here are a few ideas on what to include on your professional business cards.
1) Contact details including name, telephone number, email and website.
2) Company name and brief outline of your services.
3) Good and appropriate use of colour, text size and font.
4) Double sided for the ultimate space for maximum details.
5) Pay attention to the finish of the high quality business cards by considering whether to use a matte or gloss finish, border etc.
6) Humour – a funny/catchy business slogan can help your professional business cards to book their place in a wallet.
Professional business cards are made up from a wide variety of components and these are just a few of the basics. You have to incorporate many ideas into successful business cards and the main point is to be relevant with your design as this helps to make your business obvious to the customer. High quality business cards are a great way to spread the word about your business and professional business cards can really give a business an edge. Whatever business you are in it should go without saying that advertising your product or service as best as you possibly can and as often as possible is the only way to be truly successful.
The cards below show a variety of examples that make great high quality business cards that can be found at only a select few printing services around the UK.
This card is aimed at people looking for services within the travel sector. That means that they should be attractive to holidaymakers to be considered as professional business cards within their target audience and the bright colours appeal to many.

The next quality business cards are designed to appeal to women looking for cosmetics and the use of pink and a glamourous picture works brilliantly as high quality business cards. Colour and pictures on high quality business cards make it what it is and the pictures needn’t be flashy if what you are advertising is simple and it doesn’t get much more appealing and simple than a palm fringed beach.

By matching the colours with the product colour is a good way of advertising a product and with chocolate being so popular worldwide, a brown business card is a genius way to promote a chocolate based business. Premium business cards are basically a form of advertising that is obvious about what it is advertising and a good use of colour is a clever way of achieving this.

Fast business cards are also a major commodity and quick business cards that are also high quality business cards can successfully promote a business.

A5 leaflet printing is a great tool for business promotion. The dimensions of an a5 flyer are 210mm by 148mm. This gives you plenty of room on your leaflet to promote your business and give people plenty of information to get them interested in what you do.
A5 leaflets printing is very common and is one of the most popular leaflet sizes available. You can get 1000 A5 leaflets printed for only £75. If you are looking for cheap leaflet printing you may want to go for an A6 leaflet. An A6 flyer is 105mm × 148mm and 1000 printed leaflets will cost only £60. There is still plenty of room on an A6 flyer to get your message across.
Deciding between A5 and A6 leaflet printing can be a difficult decision as when you are printing going for the cheapest printing is not always going to be best for your promotion. Take a think about the design of your leaflet. If you can fit your message into an A6 leaflet go for it, but if you have more to say do not squash it in and go for an A5 leaflet.
Print Republic can print flyers and leaflets in A4, A5, A6 and DL. You can upload your own design or you can use the design service to determine which size leaflet you should print.

Do you use a printing company for your direct mail campaigns? Are you no longer using a printing service and opting for email instead? You will be intrerested in this if you prefer the printed direct mail route.
The Royal Mail is helping to kick start the Direct Mail industry by reducing its postal costs for the MailSort 3 service, which is used for posting direct mail.

As of the 26th October the new rates introduced by the Royal Mail will mean a 500,000 piece campaign will cost £3k less than it does currently.
The reduced cost of running a direct mail campaign will certainly create more work for printing companies who print direct mail. The new reduced rates are said to be costing Royal Mail around £150m.
